Gunner the German Shepherd Dog!

Lucky K9 is raising money to help care for and train Gunner the German Shepherd! last week gunner’s dad Tony Pennello unexpectedly passed away of pancreatic cancer only two weeks after his diagnosis. We met Tony during wounded warrior dog training while he was working on training Gunner to be his Service Dog. Tony is retired from LAPD and worked as a Stunt-Man in LA. The pandemic hit and consequently classes stopped. Tony took a job driving truck, so Gunner went on the road with him, as sidekick and fearless best friend. Tony contacted LuckyK9 and CanineJulz for help while he went for treatment for Cancer only 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately Tony lost his battle with Cancer. The world lost a kind Veteran, loving father, and giving human being. Gunner is devastated. CanineJulz has graciously donated training for Gunner but we are taking donations for food and care. As gunner gets trained up he will be in need of a new forever home. Gunnar is a 3 year old papered GSD who is a fast learner. He is 90 lbs of energy, drive, loyalty and fun. He should live out the rest of his life as an only dog so he can focus on rebounding with a new parent. The perfect match would be with a person who has previously owned, trained or handled a GSD and understands the breed. Gunner needs a job, clear communication, and an Alpha Owner.
