About your Trainer
Elizabeth has been a dog lover since childhood working with German Shepherds and Irish Setters. Her passion for those breeds prompted volunteering for Wounded Warrior Dog Training. After several years she began studying the breeds and taking classes through AKC at which time she began teaching level 1 & 2 classes. A major focus of Lucky K9 is to start young with socialization and obedience. She has studied at American Kennel Club Canine College and is an approved AKC Evaluator for AKC Star Puppy, Canine Good Citizenship, and FIT Dog Level 1. With a dedication to fitness and exercise she continues to study canine Health, Sport and Agility. Elizabeth is a member of the German Shepherd Club of America and IACP in which she volunteers with the Service Dog Committee. Elizabeth has a Service Dog named Blitzen and a Dutch Shepherd named Duchess both who are fans of her work with puppies.
Welcome our new Assistant Trainer!
Leslie grew up working on a ranch training Australian Shepherds, Border Collies & Hounds. She is a licensed Clinical Social Worker, Pilates Instructor and “Doga” Practitioner. While in her own practice, she instituted “Walk/Talk Therapy” with people and their animals. She volunteers with Southwest Search Dogs and has trained with other Balanced Approach Trainers. Leslie loves group training with her dog Frida and is an AKC Evaluator.
